U nesvakidašnjem ambijentu vrta, uz zalogaje inspirirane morem i tradicijom, sudionici su otkrili fascinantni svijet motra – mediteranske biljke iznimnih nutritivnih i ljekovitih svojstava.

The magical garden of Župaho Steak House was a perfect spot on the final day of the Festival Župski pjat, where a truly special lecture delighted the audience. Renowned food historian Jadranka Ničetić presented the topic Samphire, Health by the Sea: A Tale of Mediterranean Wonder, capturing the full attention of those gathered.
We tried our hand at preparing traditional dishes with samphire: samphire with potatoes, samphire risotto, samphire frittata… And the samphire chips were a real treat! Jadranka Ničetić had already helped popularize this exceptional plant through traditional recipes during the Salt Festival at the Ston Saltworks, and now in Župa, we had the opportunity to experience samphire in a new, creative form, as a kind of hommage to an extraordinary plant that nourished many generations, especially in times of scarcity.
In the unique garden setting, with bites inspired by the sea and tradition, participants discovered the fascinating world of samphire – a Mediterranean plant of exceptional nutritional and medicinal value. At the close of the Festival, samphire emerged as the star of the plate, and a symbol of coastal well-being.
